Operation

The Electronic Display Module (EDM) functions either as a standalone unit displaying engine parameters or in conjunction with the Auxiliary Information Module (AIM) to show additional equipment parameters.

If the corresponding sensors are installed on the equipment, the EDM will continuously display the following parameters (refer to Figure 1.1):

  • Engine RPM

  • Engine coolant temperature or oil temperature (oil temperature is displayed only if coolant temperature data is unavailable from the ECM)

  • Engine oil pressure

  • ECM battery voltage or auxiliary current (requires AIM)

  • Vehicle speed, auxiliary pump pressure, or engine load

  • Equipment temperature or pressure (requires AIM)

  • Equipment temperature or pressure (requires AIM) or engine turbo boost pressure

  • Fuel level (requires AIM)

  • Check and stop indicators

Buttons on the Screen

  • ALARM OFF – Disables the beep alarm when check or stop indicators are active.

  • MENU – Enters the main menu options.

  • SCROLL – Allows quick navigation through sub-menus; in “PROGRAMMING MODE,” it is used for selecting options.

  • SELECT – Confirms the selection of a main menu or sub-menu option.

  • CLEAR – Exits the current main menu or sub-menu to access other options (functions as a BACK button); deletes messages on the screen. In “PROGRAMMING MODE,” it exits or deletes displayed settings.

  • LIGHT – Disables the backlight, switches backlight color (white/amber), and adjusts backlight brightness.

Menu Navigation

Pressing the MENU button displays four main menu options on the screen. Press the SELECT button to enter a menu. The details of these menus are as follows:
